SCHAEFFLER AEROSINT is an innovative and dynamic SME with a team of 20 talented individuals, located in Liège, Belgium. The mission of AEROSINT is to revolutionise the industrial 3D printing industry by enabling another level of design freedom through multi-material printing.

The main invention of AEROSINT is a patented selective powder deposition technology allowing the controlled deposition of multiple powders (including ceramics, metals or polymers). This technology enables multi-material parts printing along with some other exciting use cases. Recently, AEROSINT has become part of the SCHAEFFLER GROUP, with the goal to become a leader in industrial 3D printing.

In order to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers that make sure the AEROSINT products continuously get improved, we are looking for a (m/f) :

 

R&D  Software Engineer

Descriptif de poste

As part of the R&D team, you will play a key role in the design, implementation and validation of software for our cutting-edge selective powder deposition technology. Your responsibilities will span from designing user interfaces and API’s to writing driver code for our custom electronics.

Your main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Being part of the software team, you will work on the 3D printer user interface, its internal software and its API. With the feedback of internal and external users, you will design and implement new features and improve them continuously.
  • You will also develop custom solutions for research projects.
  • You will be in contact with 3D design software editors to establish new workflows.
  • You will build tools to collect, store and analyse data coming from the print jobs and help the team to improve the process.

Compétences et profil recherchés

  • You have a master’s degree in computer science or acquired equivalent experience.
  • You have a successful working experience either in a company or in a collaborative project.
  • You have experience in Python, Flutter and Linux. Knowledge in embedded programing and computational geometry is an asset.
  • An experience in project management is an asset.
  • You have excellent communication skills in English (French is nice too).
  • You are able to work independently and in a structured way.
  • You are result-oriented and have a can-do attitude.
  • You see technical problems as a challenge/opportunity.
